Help! Train my Dog!!

John utilizes the best "no force" techniques in dog training, thus improving dog/human relationships. Fun and play are part of our training program.

We offer private courses, in-residence training, and "train-while-you-board" programs.

We feel that our private courses afford a more personalized and successful way to train you and your dog.

John is here for your dog's training needs and as your personal dog trainer.

Start Right

This 1 hour, private class at the farm is designed to help the new puppy in his/her new home. It covers in detail:

• housetraining
• nutrition
• and the all important Socialization

Six Week Private Course

We offer a 6-hour private course with John where you meet with him weekly for "6" one hour sessions or "3" two hour sessions. He gives you homework and asks that you practice twice daily with your dog for 10 minutes until the next meeting. Because your training is private, we have the ability to work around your busy schedule.

At the end of the 6-hour course you should have your basic commands of "Come", "Sit", Stay", "Down", "Heel", and "OK," the behaviours you need for your dog to be a polite companion.

Three Week In-Residence (for your dog!) Course

We also offer in-house training where you leave your dog with us for three weeks. John will teach the basic commands. This comprehensive program includes owner-training during at its conclusion.

** An evaluation with you and your dog will be performed by John prior to beginning this course. At that time, John may determine that the six hour course is more appropriate for you and your dog.

At the end of the 3-week in-residence course you should have your basic commands of "Come", "Sit", Stay", "Down", "Heel", and "OK," the behaviours you need for your dog to be a polite companion.

Train-While-You-Board Program

Dogs who have trained or are in training with John may also board with him and receive updated training during their stay. Many of our clients find this program useful to help iron-out any persistent canine behaviour problems.

Nestled in the woods

Our beautiful dog training facility - which includes an indoor training building, agility yard, tracking maze and unique kennel nestled in a grove of red maples. Each dog has its own run with views of field, forest and mountain. You might say your dog has a "kennel with a view".
